Done Node 3; no end-city-portal

Hey, soo, em, i dont know who did what, or what happened, but there's no portal to the end city, which is.. very problematic, because of the need to get an elytra to progress. as well as end-rods.

 

Just fly out from the main island, the portals just serve as a shortcut.

 

This an issue in vanilla as well, luckily in modified you can just pick a direction and fly.

 

But keep in mind in age of engineering flying rings and jet packs are meant to be more endgame items, there are other ways to fly of course but many may not be obtainable before the end city (I don’t know what the earliest flying item is). Of course you can always just build a bridge there too

 

I picked up an elytra from a city about 1000 blocks north of the spawn. You can make a darksteel armor with a glider for easier traveling, or just build a bridge

 

You can build slime flight machines in vanilla.

 

That's a lot harder on a server! Single player sure, but those timings are always wonky on multiplayer.

 

You can build a tower, launch yourself from it with slimeshot and glide with EnderIO glider integrated into dark chestplate.

 

Only visual glitches or issues caused by *cough*MyM chunk slowdown*cough* certain plugins.

 

The vast majority of servers slow down chunks which dont have players in them out of necessity, in fact its built in to I think all of the major server software sets (and can't be disabled or modified in some). The servers that don't do this don't last very long due to a very small number of players using a huge amount of server resources.
