Hey, soo, im on the agrarian skies 2 server.. and i was wondering. for the thaumcraft block wich takes items and turns them into aspect points.. is there any way to automate this? ie; to extract the points into, say, a chest for me to mass-consume later.
You can use essentia tubes to transfer them from the alembics to an essentia crystaliser, which converts essentia into items which your me system can store. I believe the research for all of this is in the ‘alchemy, section of the thaumonomicon
No not that one.. the Table with the thaumo-meter on it that 'scans' items and spits out maybe one aspect point of the 6 primal ones. the deconstruction table.
Ah those, sadly I do not think there is a way to automate that as they are not counted as tangible items to my knowledge. I could be wrong about that though.
i mean, they're technically items in NEI, soo maybe possibly? im not a massive automation expert so idk.
I am not familiar with which thaum addons are in as2 but some addons offer an automatable source of knowledge fragments which can be right clicked for research aspects. (I think one is called a soul sieve) Those might be your best bet. If you like you can try to experiment with autonomous activators, item conduits, golems, and other thaum addons, but I am not sure if there is a way to automate the table (I would but I can’t right now)
To the best of y knowledge, there is only one Thaumcradt add-on that allows for automated scanning and deconstruction of items, Thaumic Expansion. But it is not part of any Mod packs that we are currently hosting. So sadly, you are stuck having to manually click the deconstruction table to extract the tasty tasty little tid-bits of arcane research it provides. An alternative, if you need research points is the Think Tank. It consumes Books, and produces Knowledge Fragments. Which as any good thaumaturge knows, gives you research points if you eat them. One should NEVER waste them by crafting them int0 Research notes! Hope this helps! Good Gaming and Have a Great Day!
"Waste by crafting research notes" yea.. toootally didnt spend 2 hours farming research scraps a few months ago, rampaging in the eldritch lands, all for the knowledge on how to make Banners.
An alternative method would be to use the crystal cluster generation method, this is quite slow but it does however generate the base ones (associated with each cluster)
Setup your Research Table with a couple Bookcases (I use 2 stacks of 2 Bookcases) and put at least one of each Crystal Cluster around it (I use 2-3 of each) It will eventually add a glowing star next to Aspects within the Research table. This star indicates that there is a bonus point of that aspect available if you run out. It will eventually Star the compound Aspects too, but as Dart6672 mentioned above, it is a slow process. But well worth it. I do it every time I do Thaumcraft. Hope this helps! Good Gaming and Have a Great Day!
If you are using the deconstruction table, use crafting tables in it. They give all base aspects and always give something.
