Intel is still better single threaded processing, I'm going to try for a 5Ghz overclock with this. I've no use for more cores at the moment.

Nice congrats! I have a pretty similar build ^^

I love the GTX 1080 Ti series! I have the 1080 Ti lightning and it has been absolutely amazing!

If you are gonna stone it with a 2k build go for some Seagate Barracuda 10TB HDDs and go for a slightly cheaper Kingston - ValueRAM 48GB (3 x 16GB) Registered DDR3-1600 Memory (KVR16R11D4K3/48I) - PCPartPicker . You can trust Kingston to have some of the best memory cards there are. However they are 240 pin not 288

You know the GTX 1050 Ti can run all games at max graphics at 60 fps, its cheaper as well

That's going to fun. Although you might have better luck waiting on Nvidia Volta. I think I'm done with SLI and Crossfire for now. Going to stick to one GPU for the foreseeable future.

I can make a really dodgy interpreter card with some basic soldering and hmdi ports to use instead of crossfire so :p

The 1050 ti statement is not always true, especially for Minecraft. MC requires heavily on all processes rather than just GPU/CPU base. It uses Ram/GPU/CPU/Disk, so no matter the video card, even if its good and your processor is bad, you probably won't be able to run end game heavily loaded base on MC with smooth frames on max.

Note to the ram, DDR3 will not work with his system due to the fact that it's 240 pin like you said, but DDR3 is barely supported by new hardware and what not. Most motherboards of the current day and age take DDR4, unless you have a pre am4/Skylake system.
