Curious since it has been a while, what is the update on the Mass Fabs? Will they be turned back on or an added alternative route to get Iridium?
Unfortunately I couldn't find out what's causing the issue in the code. Do you have a suggestion for a alternative route?
I would say sell it on the Market (Like the crystals) but this would be too costly due to the amount needed to make one Quantum Solar. It takes 10 stacks of Iridium to make one Quantum. Setup a trading post at spawn if it's possible (Like Revelations in a sense). Ex: 2 Diamond or 2 Emerald for 1 Iridium. Add it to the Laser Drill from Mine Factory Reloaded if this is possible. This would probably be the most easiest solution and still would require a gathering way and building machines. Essentially wouldn't just be handing over Iridium, there would need to be some time and work involved. I don't know if it is possible but add an UU-Matter tank (Have it cost a replicator + other materials) like the unlimited lava tank (SirWilli). This would still require the Replicators and a large power source to be feed.
First thought is to use Infinity Expert ideas, and consider more product? MOX + RTG, Infusion Alter, Molecular Transformer (may have same problem as Mass Fab)... Also consider the possibility to mine it outside the Overworld, or get shards as a byproduct from processing. I like the MOX + RTG. Makes Nuclear Reactors in IC2 a means to an end -- and they're pretty dang expensive, components wise. Nobody has a reason to pursue anything in IC2 aside from getting into Advanced Solar Panels ASAP. Big downside is that there's no Replicator... Isn't there a way to limit EU input and maybe put a cap on how many each player can place? Cheers!
Pretty sure you can use Looniums from Botania to get dungeon loot "which includes iridium" Not sure if that's avaliable on every modpack though...
I did take another look and it looks like the removal of scrap caused this issue. I removed this again and also added the recipe from expert as alternative. If the scrap automation will cause performance issues again we will need to force the alternative recipe.
