Please get it up this is no fun anymore... its so many times offline. Last Saturday for 4 hours, Sunday for 9-10 hours.. and now already for 1 hour
Unfortunately none of the staff with the powers necessary to fix it are online at the moment... I myself am typing this on my phone while at work so I'm in no position to fix it myself right now! Rest assured that it will be fixed as soon as possible but in the mean time you'll just have to wait patiently. For the record I want you to understand that Crash Landing was never designed to be a multiplayer modpack... Our dev team have put a lot of effort into making it so, but to be clear it is still very much an experimental pack at this point so the fact that is isn't completely stable yet should come as no surprise.
Currently 5 of your servers are down... I'm going to find another server if yours is going to be down every day for 4-5 hours. Staff? Never online when these crashes occur. Things have to change. Remove some of the staff from their position if they don't have enough time for the server and promote some of the more active staff.
This is very true, I hope Crash Landing will come online now, cuz its already offline for over 5 hours! And that not normal
I'm very sorry about the servers being down, it's not the first it's happened, and it's not going to be last - Lets not forget that this is a Modpack server, so it's very hard to stay up to track with all of this. I'm closing this thread until the servers are back online, I understand you're all annoyed by this, but all we can do is be patient. Regarding your post, I find this downright disrespectful. You're forgetting the fact that we work as volunteers, and you play these servers for free. Admin isn't a trusted role to give to just anyone, as it's basically access to everything, including the consoles. If you would like to sign up for staff, go ahead, we're always welcoming new applications - but don't you dare disrespect the admins like that, especially since they have a life to live themselves, and the things they do for this server.
I'm sorry that we don't meet your expectations, we do our best and have one of the most stable agrarian skies servers out there, same for cl (bet well we are nearly alone). We have put a lot of days work into getting them playable but over all the bottleneck is hqm that is responsible for 98% of the resterats where the server isn't coming backup as it freezes on reading the corrupted quest data. While we have a lot of theories on what is causing the corruption are we not able to do much about it as the mod is closed source, the devs hate servers, 1.6.4 not being supported anymore and the devs being inactive for months. I have self-containted my self from the issues hqm gives us and being the biggest bottleneck we and all other servers ever had. A solution is far from coming and I can only hope that the hqm devs get back to hqm and fix the stuff for the 1.7.10 builds, but overall I don't think we will host any modpacks with hqm anymore. If they would have been our own packs we would have thrown out hqm nearly ~half a year ago. For stable experience I can only recommend you to play singleplayer or to make a small server for you and a few friends. Everything bigger has the same and in most cases even more issues with the mod. We have already solved a lot of its issues with a lot of work and effort but it is still closed source and our possibilities are limited: item pickup with full inv freezing the server (hqm checks the ore dic for each item on the ground every tick (pickup event)) limitation of 1024 unique player joins endless save duration -> we found a way to delete old data, I don't think any other server has something like this -> save duration improvement of 80-300% depending on the age of the server disabling the backup feature that never had any benefit as the backup file is always broken -> save duration improvement of about 2/3 -> its not as simple as changing a config option We are still trying to find out what is causing the questbook corruption which appears nearly daily on crash landing. My current theory is that it is related to the teams as if you are new and play with a friend it is likely that you die 20 times or more at the beginning and you create a new team every time. By this I think it is a encoding issue, that means special or Cyrillic chars are not getting saved/loaded properly. The fact that it occurs only with the server startup (hqm questdata gets loaded from file) and even after the server made a normal restart (no crash/freeze..) reinforces this theory. But creating a team with e.g. "€3³3u4§\?=}+~#شىي سخةث ةخقث ؤخىفثىف اثقث гиб иүёх тухж фрф вф шые уы оф" didn't allow me to recreate the issue, but by far I haven't tested all sorts of special chars.. If you have any more ideas about this issue, we appreciate any idea. To sum it up, if you don't bare to much playing on a small private server or singleplayer I highly recommend you to do so. If you like playing with a bigger community, find a way to accept how it is and relax about it, else it won't get much fun. Edit: I didn't say anything out load about hqm for a very very long time, but sorry, at some point I have to.
