Done As stated below, can't connect for more than a few seconds.

I am having the same issue as the below people where I cannot connect to the node 1 server for more than a few seconds before getting a "disconnect" issue or something to do with "javaioexception: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". I have tried numerous resolutions on my end such as looking for NAT Acceleration on my router which i don't have. Then I tried uninstalling and reinstalling java, FTB Continuum, as well as using the ftb legacy client. The legacy client seemed to fix the issue for what seemed to be about 20 minutes then I am now back to having the same issue. The only other possible fix that I've seen online is for an admin to delete my player.dat file but I can't connect to put my stuff in my inventory in a chest and don't want to end up losing all the stuff in my inventory. Please help I'd really like to get my progression back and started to finish up this mod pack. Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!

You are not alone mate. I have added the following Java parameter to my launcher "-Dfml.readTimeout=120" as well as upping it to 8GB and making sure I have the newest update of Java8 (Update171), It's been working ok for me to day, still disconnects on 2 out of 3 dimension changes and takes 3-4 reconnects to get back in.

What's up at the moment ? I doubt it's related to OP's issue, but there seems to be a mismatch between whatever version the server is running and what the launcher feeds you. I don't think the MyM launcher lets you choose a version...or does it ?

 

the MYM launcher allways* uses the server version of packs since due to some pack updates just you know change worlds in seconds/breaks them so no it doesent but as far as i know there has been some cercumanstances of this not working
