So this has been an issue with me (and probably with other players too),is that at around some times, the server is full of people and usually overflowing with up to 2 patrons at a time. Will there ever be an increase to this player limit of 18?Or if not, can you, at least make it so that people that can join full servers do no count towards the player limit? That would make it so the server won't overflow with people and possibly even have a couple slots to spare. Anyone thinking of other solutions, please post your comments so the admins can see them!
The reason why the 1.12 servers only have a player limit of 18 is because of their unstable nature. Hosting modded minecraft in 1.12 can prove to be quite resource demanding, therefore having more than 18 on a single server will cause that server to perform rather badly. However, a solution that has already been implemented on continuum is to have multiple nodes (servers), that way more than 18 players can connect at once. Therefore, suggesting more nodes for the server in question (assuming it's revelation) is actually a pretty good idea
Could the possibility of adding another node for Revelations be looked at? I have seen a lot of players (myself included) unable to get in for hours at a time. Just today I sat for 30 minutes refreshing, waiting for it to drop to 17/18 slots. Finally it did and I jumped in only to get a Java Exception on the client forcing me to attempt to connect again. In just that short time, it had jumped back to 19/18 slots. I understand the Patron and think it to be a very good idea, but with the amount of players attempting to play that server consistently lately, even if we all had patron then you would be looking at maybe 24+ on that server which just degrades everyone's performance. I haven't spent money on MyM in a very long time (mainly haven't played at all) so please, don't think I'm just asking for freebies . I really do appreciate the work put into the entire MyM system and the performance of the Rev server (even when over cap) has been outstanding in modded terms .
