I bought the fly gene today, and all was going well until I warped to the quarry world where it stopped working. It won't work on any other world either.
The fly gene unfortunately does not sync between servers properly. I can either offer you a refund of the 2,400mym or I can give you access to the /fly command as an alternative.
Yes, it has to be set as a local permission on each monster server individually (which I forgot to do with the people I've done it for so far) as if I set the essentials.fly permission globally then it would allow access to /fly on other modpacks too, but the use of the command as a replacement for the fly gene is only supposed to be for on the monster servers.
It seems like the /fly option would be the most effective method until the gene bug is fixed in a FTB update. If I just buy the gene again the problem could reoccur. Thanks for the prompt reply.
just for clarification that is a bug from our end. The mod that syncs the inventories.. The developer that started it with a lot of motivation but soon dropped it after not getting it to work properly and avoiding to test new builds him self. We haven't found the time to update it or even rewrite it completely.
for now you will get the /fly from chaos. While it is a major issue (in my opinion) there are currently blockers that need to be solved first.
