Myself and other have expressed interest with supporting the server by purchasing either a basic GregTech CE starter kit from the MyM Shop, or options of multiple levels of GT similar to AE2 and IC2 with basic, advanced options, or other, etc.

I like this idea! For example LV kit (Has 1 CEF (LV) Macerator (LV) alloy Smelter (LV) WireMill (LV) Basic Assembly Machine (also lv) )

THo to be fair, this could be a medium kit! And the MV could be large kit

Large should be for MV, But limit it to only LV for medium Kit, And Large kit for HV machines (excat same ones) those would be the basic starting for any Tier in gregtech! and those machines will help people out with making the other machines for greg in the same Tier

My question is, would it be useful in enough packs to create?

Gregtech seems to becoming more popular in modern packs. I think mainly because it's only mod not completely played out at this point. I expect we'll continue to see it in 1.12 packs.

    +1 from me.

I would like to see this. Mostly because I dislike the IC2/GregTech style mod and endeavour to move a way from it to mods that mesh better together like EnderIO and AE2. Heck I would even work on magic mods before I would work on a IC2 style mod, and I am not too fond of those either.

If someone could write a list of items that they think should be in it I don't mind adding it. I could make a small AND large variants

For the basic starting kit, I recommend:
    CEF (LV) (4 Slots)
Small Sodium Battery (LV) x 4
    Basic Gas Turbine (LV)
    4x Conductive Iron Cables x 16
    Basic Wiremill (LV)
    Basic Compactor (LV)
    Basic Macerator (LV)
    Basic Electrolyzer (LV)
Steel Hammer (or Diamond Hammer depending on how generous you want to be)
    Steel Wrench

Personally, I'd want the Large kit to have more niche machines:

    CEF (MV) (4 Slots)
Medium Sodium Battery (MV) x 4
    Advanced Gas Turbine (MV)
    4x Energetic Alloy Cables x 16
    Advanced Electroylzer (MV)
    Advanced Macerator (MV)
    Advanced Lathe (MV)
    Advanced Extruder (MV)
    Advanced Centrifuge (MV)
    Advanced Chemical Reactor (MV)
    Advanced Assembling Machine (MV)
    Steel Wrench

Hmm, they are gunna need some sort of Power to start with (not everyone is gunna have power generation before buying the kits) i dont think u can have a fully charged Small Battery -
Id recommend adding (If thermal expansion is added to the pack) Put in a Flux capacitor (basic) fully charged into the kits as the machines are gunna need power to get going :D

That's why I added the Gas Turbines to the kit, the Electrolyzer should provide the gases for the machines, and the batteries on the lists would hopefully be fully charged. Or add the Thermal Expansion Energy Cell (Hardened), which is seen in most of the other starting kits, to the Gregtech kits.

yeah i suppose! thats why i suggest the flux capacitor from thermal, they can be put directly into the CEF themselfs

I would highly recommend to design the kits in a way that they do not completely bypass progression. For example buying an me kit might give you access to a storage system that you should not have at this point, but it would still require you to make the machines to get more stuff for it in an expert pack.
But giving out enough hv machines to basically skip lv and mv doesn't sound right.
