The the server would chug along every time someone explored a new chunk, you think you want that, but you don't.
As soon as their is a gap in the release schedule I'm sure we will consider it. Our release schedule.. it just works.
I'd think that you could have the pregen chugging along on a second, offline server and during the restart, you swap the DIM directory using filesystem hardlinks. Or just plain mv. There might be a snag there that I am unaware of with the mym protection plugins, but I never got around to filing that volunteering form ____ kept smacking on my head, so I wouldn't know.
Maybe we can have a few pregen maps of different seed, then put them on a rotation for farm world resets. The idea is when farm world map rotate back to the first one, people are most likely progressed enough, so what's valuable to beginers are no longer valuable to them. Or people already forget what the first farm world looks like. Hopefully this can fresh things up a bit, and avoid the server loading chug problem.
I'd say that while RLCraft is a fun looking modpack, it relies too heavily on exploration, and loads of other things. Not to mention, it weighs rather heavily on computers. So while I wouldn't rule the pack out, it's not as likely to get a server I feel like, due to its limitations.
