Implemented Server Request: Project Ozone 3 Kappa Mode

Heya

Project Ozone 3 has finally released it's last difficulty, Kappa Mode.

Is there a chance that we could see this mode come to MyM in the future?

Sure why not. Im not far in the basic so i could start over with increased difficulty. I like difficulty

 

Anyone try this in single player and determine if anything drastically changed (other than the recipes of course)?

 

it's basically the same, I think they just change the recipes and updated some mods and fixed some bugs that the pack already had

 

I don't know how good player numbers are on the current normal mode server, but if they are low and if there are no capacities for additional servers, it might be worth considering to just reset it and set it to kappa.

 

Since E2ES isnt anymore i would love to see another new challenging Skyblock like pack on mym.

@wyndman Besides recipe changes. Nothing out of the ordinary has changed besides needing a config change before starting/restarting the server for it to be kappa

thats about it. its still the same as a po3 normal mode , Only noticable difference is the fact that oak log = 1 plank XD

po2 kappa is still my favourite pack today,and i started playing modded even before the 1.2.5 era,played almost any pack,and after so many,normal packs became boring,so i usually play hard ones this day,but the majority of them are hard just to be hard,po2kappa was different,it was hard but in a fun way,and i hope that po3 is the same

Well i would say yes but thats just me. I allready started to play on normal server but as soon as i saw this poll i stopped waiting for an announcement if kappa mode would come. But thats just me i guess some people on the po3 Server right now invested more time into it and maybe dont want their bases to be ereased idk.

 

Definitely. For me personally, Expert servers are the only ones that can hold my interest for more than a day or two.

 

same here, i played po2 when it came out, and withing 5 minutes of learning about kappa mode. i reset my sp world, and straight to kappa i went... till i corrupted my file... then i found a server....which was mym XD

expert packs are more interesting, and do take longer to complete. Which is something i myself prefer in a pack

 

I noticed that on the server there are many skyblock packs,but none of them are hard-mode/expert,so that would be another reason to have po3-kappa,instead of normal po3,which in the end,is similar to the others skyblocks packs,so the absence of it wouldn't hurt much

In other words,if somebody wants to play a skyblock pack,has planty of choice,but none for an expert one

 

Not exactly true, we still have Infinity skyblock, but that is indeed the only expert block left.

 

Absolutely! At least as far as I count as a person

 

Pretty sure Grey only counts as .42 of a person.

But Kappa with some teammates could be fun.
