Hi! Does anyone know what blocks add more to the island levels? I know things like Emerald blocks and Diamond blocks are good, but do you know anything that isnt a resource block that is good for island levels?[DOUBLEPOST=1411335257,1411056920][/DOUBLEPOST]I have just started to replace the wood planks on my main island with emerald and diamond blocks, so I guess im gonna mark the thread solved, although if you have some good ideas, feel free to post them
Island "levels" are calculated by the Ultimate Skyblock mod, and from what I can tell the block calculations have not been adjusted to suit FTB-style servers. In other words, only vanilla minecraft blocks count towards your level. This link explains how it used to work in older versions of USB. Since then Talebrek (the mod creator) has added in diminishing returns. This means that the more you use a certain block, the less points it adds towards your island level. This was done to balance out the effect of people making lava pours just to flood their island with cobble and increase their level.
The easiest way to get levels it to plant jungle trees. Place four saplings and get like 100+ new blocks. They are not as valuable as other blocks, but it's fast. xD
Do shiny blocks work? I noticed that wasn't helping my island level progress, and they're one of the most endgame items on AG + better looking than Diamond/Gold/Emerald blocks
