    I think the solution to defeating this pack is to do it with others. It certainly is within the realm of possibility to play it solo, but there are better things to do in life. Splitting the workload in tech trees and sharing the pain is an experience in itself. (I speak of po3 Kappa).

    If you don't like realism, this pack won't be any fun. I'm almost certain many players will attempt to play, but will turn around once they notice that they have to craft and use a screwdriver.

    Except for VERY specific situations MyM does not change server configs. So if the default pack says machines explode, then they will explode.

    But the main question of course is when will this pack be up and running for us to play on?

    f.y.i those situations iirc:
    • Server Stability
    • Dupes
    • Glitches

    I do not see a good reason why we would change the proper mechanics as far as blowing up your own claim goes. I'm more worried about having things like pollution changed, that's still a thing isn't it?

    I haven't reached the stage when pollution become a problem but remember other players on server exchanging messages about having to deal with acid rain melting ceilings of their bases. Sounds to me like pollution is a thing and ideally should remain as mechanics.

    How would the mym 9 chunk loading limit work with GT where we need a rather large base and multiple miners on multiple planets?
    Even for a Patron Tier 2 16 online chunkloaders doesn't cut it.
    You will need:
    * A farm for biofuel / seeds for gendustry - ~2chunks
    * Fuel refinery (massive machines) - ~2 chunks
    * Oil pump - 2-4 chunks because the wells are rarely within a chunk
    * Miner - 2-4 chunks because again, they are large and cross over
    * Lets say youre building a large tower to work with the limited chunk loaders: 4 chunks
    ** Main ore processing
    ** All Gt machinery including circuits, assembly and chemical processing
    ** All tinker machinery
    ** Boilers and or nuclear
    * A tree farm: 1-4 chunks + 1 chunk space between you house and a tree farm
    * Bees which need light: 1 chunk
    * Thaumcraft: 1 chunk
    * Witchery: 0
    * Bloodmagic altar + mob farm inside it: 4 chunks

    At endgame that would be 22 chunks in a very cramped tower-like base.

    And a reminder - GT cables will burn out if you load a machine which' power cable goes to a unloaded chunk.

    I think some option to buy additional chunkloading would be nice here, however I think that you can fit everything into a 5x5 with Patron 3, if you build 4 floors, that is basically 100 chunks, you can always go down, no need for an ugly tower.

    All ore veins are 3x3 if you don't go checking how wide it exactly is going. Meaning 9 loaders here will result in 32-9=23chunks which doesn't quite fit into 5x5.
    But as Willshaper said on the Discord, we'll raise the question once we get to midgame and it starts to become an active issue.

    I prefer to load only the chunks I use (1x1) instead of a flat 3x3 or 5x5
