Hey, I got this awesome idea. When the server is offline or/ restarting, cover the portals, so players can't jump in, and cause more stress on the server. I hope that this is added, and possibly a better auto restart script... It's as easy as adding the following code: <server start code> <name_of_server_start.sh/.bat>
This is significantly more difficult to implement than you may imagine, and in my view not at all necessary. Servers restart fine and I don't see how attempted joins could be causing any problems with server restarts - it's more likely to do with large worlds and lag.
You're probably true, but it's extremely annoying when 20 players join at once, right after the server reboots. Why? It crashes the server again. At least there should be a bungee portal teleport delay for free users, and instant teleportation/transfer to the destination server for donators.
Not necessarily needed Guest, considering we have white-list if the server crashes. That way Co-Admins+ can fix the server without any interruptions. We use the portals from Vanilla, considering the lobby is a vanilla server. In most situations, Admins can just restart the server and it's fixed, the only common break is the HQM. If anything, I think this would be way too annoying to implement, and not telling how much it could break and completely just turn the server off when it goes down. It was a great idea, honestly, but it would take too much time to literally perfect it.
That's normally not the issue. The server crashes again because one of the players does load the area which crashes the server.
