The Time out issue can be Opis or if the server has Fastcraft installed since its not compatible with cauldron These two are great client side but horrible on servers

Im looking at you Galactic craft...lol Known incompatibilities and cross-mod issues [1.7.10 and 1.7.2] | Galacticraft Forum I like this mod but its more trouble then good I will ask around to see if anyone has an idea on whats causing this. edit: IM AN IDIOT... cauldron is also on "all" the servers right? I have been hearing reports from other server owners that when they removed it and tried to run a Pure Forge server they got no Timeouts but as soon as they added Cauldron is started again. LOL, i have been looking into this and have read/hear a few things 1. Galactic craft moon when a certain chunk is loaded 2. AE2 Channel cables 3. Some versions of Forge causing large packet sizes and kickng players 4. Sync and Mekenism Incompatibility Seems like there are many things people are reporting that is causing this.
yea there were no issues before the addition of galticraft, ars and HEE. From the little research I did, I think it has something to do with the cauldron version its using due to Ars.
The timeouts are caused by one of the plugins installed , not by any of the mods in the pack. We know this from when we did a test with no plugins installed
That's usually a given. Server owners don't need to deal with a terabyte of dimensions because some kid doesn't like the worldgen.
Not always the case. They can disable Book Binder, Writting desk and anything else to make Ages BUT leave Ink Mixers so you can make linking books. Only thing in this mod that causes lag is the creation on Ages. All other items not Listed below are ok to keep items to ban Descriptive Book Notebook Book Binder Link Modifier Writing Desk items to sell on market Crystal All of this is changable in the mystcraft Core.cfg at the bottom. @SirWilli if you want me to send you a edit to just the bottom that i would do, just let me know
i think mystcraft looses his sense if we disable everything but the linking book... so better disable the mod itself, i dont know how many ages a server could hold (and work with no lags)
It can kepup even with thousand of ages. It's not like a world. It's a age who have been made in a world just when palyers join in it it causes maybe little bit of lag....
the thing that does cause the big issue is the world generation. This is very very heavy on the server especially with a mods introducing their own worldgen features. This is also the reason why we do pre-generate all worlds.
Im sorry but no...... Linking books alone is big enough to ba a stand alone mod. Have you ever seed DW20's and the forgecraft hub? You can link books to anywhere and have like a library of locations. I prefer ONLY players not being able to make ages but have access to the linking books. What your saying is if i can have it all i dont want NONE, if you used these books in the past you would be happy if the server allows them. @Slind14 IMO it would be nice if players still had Permissions to craft Ink Mixers, Linking books...ect.
Linking books are nice, but it make the donator perks useless. With linking books u can bypass the limitation of one home, the teleport cast-time and the teleport cooldown.
Yes i do i love his lets plays and server plays.. then disable mystcraft and add warp books same thing
I think while link books are useful, Mystcraft shouldn't be kept in just for that. There are plenty of other ways to teleport around with other mods that encourage player creativity.
