New modpack. I'd say either: Sky Factory, Modsauce, or Pixelmon pack. I'd most like prefer pixelmon out of those lol. It could be a great new experience for the server!
For me, monster was great in theory, but the amount of resources it required always made it feel like there was a lot of client block update lag going on (the crap that happens when you break a block and then rubber band because the client updated but the server isn't agreeing). I can't help but think that has something to do with the small number of people playing it despite it having the broadest gameplay potential. Even if it performed perfectly (which is an issue sometimes for monster even in single player on a good pc), I agree that it's time to move on to 1.7.
ive done so much in monster, i hate to see go, its the first server ive ever played on. i myself would like to get a copy of east to keep playing in single player

I'm a bit late to the party, but what's the current planned modpack to "replace" Monster at the moment? Is it Resurrection?
there is no direct replacement. Galaxy - focus on balance + dimension related progression Dark Trilogy - focus on balance Resurrection - Gregtech + unbalanced mix of mods BevoTechPack - biggest one + easy progression (comes closest to monster)
Thanks I'm looking for something big that I can take slowly and just derp around, helping out by creating an empire and selling resources cheap. I'll go try out BTP
I spend a lot of time on monster as I did on all mayor modpacks of FBT for last 2 years. But it always ends the same. You get to top build complex base where you can do anything by a simple click. So I always wait for now releases. So go on shut down and release now modpack for 1.7. New modpacks, new possibilities. New ways to spend hours/days on great game to get to the top
