Any way the server can turn off Forced Progression in the Twilight config? Since its based on the killing of Boss mobs and they are very limited. This will open up the locked areas to all and not require boss kills. If not the Twilight will require reset Too often. Or Can the server implement a way to acquire the Boss spawn eggs, and allow them only to be spawned in the Twilight so players can Progress and unlock traveling in the forest? Maybe a /kit twilight that includes the eggs with a one-two week cooldown.
Personally i like being able to kill bosses, but the other way might be easier for the server since some of the bosses do break blocks and can be a grief issue if spawned outside the twilight. If the players do have an option maybe we make a poll and see which they prefer, If your implying that the server will/can do either of the two[DOUBLEPOST=1419085777,1419085734][/DOUBLEPOST]as a referance Twilight Forest Progression - Official Feed The Beast Wiki
killed Naga, litch, Hydra then Minoshroom. still geting blindess in dark forest. need to kill another hydra or deal with blindess.
What about an arena in the twilight that is an enclosed area for spawning the twilight bosses? I could set one up, with your permission @Slind14 of course. If love to have your input on it @Crhymez, on the idea itself and also the actual structure. Also, this would require selling the spawn eggs. I got an idea for that which would solve any issues about them, so we won't have to worry about them spawning other places.
hmm, Maybe an info wall to tell people the exact order in which to kill them. What if you used IC2 Trade o Mats, then had the next egg require a drop from the previous boss. Except the Naga which can use a Raven Feather. Then have it Raven's Feather for Naga 6 Naga Scales for Twilight Lich Zombie Scepter or Scepter of Twilight or Scepter of Life Draining for Minoshroom Minotaur Axe for Hydra 3-6 Fiery Blood for Ur-Ghast & Knight Phantom(dont think its needed to progress) see info below Carminite for Alpha Yeti alpha yeti fur for Snow Queen ect. It is tricky with the Knight Phantom & Ur Ghast because it is suppose to spawn a chest in the middle of the room to get its armor and Drops. Above is just an idea. This is kinda why i said Disabling forced progression might be easier. Too bad the spawners of the bosses dont regen over time, or the chunks that they are in reset daily..ect
Hmm... next time I see you ingame I'll show you my idea. Had to get to a computer to type this out. arg... So what I envisioning in my head is a roman style arena, in which players can spawn in different twilight forest bosses and fight them without the danger of them escaping and wrecking the landscape or other players. The mechanics of this are easy to implement, the only time consuming thing is actually building the arena. Imagine walking up and going into the prep room. There are signs with the different mob boss names on them. There are also stands for the different trophies the bosses drop. The first boss costs MyM's to spawn. Higher tiered bosses require you to have to have the previous bosses trophy on the stand. Once everything is in place, you press a start button, and the boss will spawn, LOCKING you in the arena. This area would become closed to other players until you died, killed the boss, or ten minuets pass. At the end of the fight the arena would reopen for another player to go or for you to go again.
Just finished the Phantom Knight quest, what a over-puffed task needed just to be able to collect tower wood. I am not a real fan of the progression quest since there is very little to guide the player from one quest to the next, and what the heck should be going on in the quest, there were many times I thought that I completely covered the goblin stronghold, only I knew that I had to kill the knight to finish, which I had not-found yet. (turned out he was on middle floor, not bottom). It was fun for first hour, but when it dragged on to 3 with multiple deaths from respawns, it got old.
Guys, kinda wondering, how does that tragically low tps affect boss killing? Is it not like, hit - hit - freeeeeeeeeeze - oops I'm dead?
Well, you can certainly avoid getting into the fights during TPS dips, and go for them when it's solid. A question I've got on the matter: Will it be possible to bring a group of players in? Like, gather into a room with an open iron door, activate the sign or whatever other mechanism is used, and the whole room is sent to the fight and the door shuts?
.-. dude, go to achevements, then tab over to twilight forest, @Moderator can you lock this thread now? Reason: necros like this, this is an entirely separate issue and therefore should be in a separate support thread, thanks
