Currently there is no starter kits, players have to mine to get gold to make a golden shovel just to claim a piece of land, I have been recieving quite a few complaints about how we they cannot find gold or we should set up a kit for golden shovels I would like to see the following starter kit if possible Starter kit: Golden Shovel 10 pokeballs 3 pokemon potions 15 bread Stone Tools Thank you. ~Abrawlica
all a player has to do to claim a piece of land is to place a chest and then they have a 10x10 area claimed
Honestly, the first thing I did when I joined the server.. was build a house foundation and then start mining. I found enough gold (near spawn in fact) to build myself a factory.. If players are moaning about not being able to play gold, they're definitely looking in the wrong places. All other servers have iron as their starting kits tools, why not keep them as iron and Stone is literally 2minutes to make and you're done.. My opinion is - x2 Chests, x10 Pokeballs, x3 Pokemon Potions x15 Bread Full set of Iron tools (Shovel, pickaxe, sword) enchanted to unbreaking I or something, nothing too expensive. Reason Iron is so we can actually start getting iron ourselves and get to creating pokeballs asap.
You guys are spoiled. lol In my day, I walked through 6 feet of snow in freezing cold just to punch a tree to make a chest and and wooden tools good enough to mine some stone for more tools... Actually, I'm mostly kidding. Not about being spoiled though. There's donator kits that work. There's a market. There's plenty of trees and stone (and I found iron, literally right before my first wood pick broke). Granted, those starter kits would be nice, and a start on food is almost necessary for non-donators (or those who don't have /feed or can't kill magikarp), but most of that stuff is really major perk vs. necessity.[DOUBLEPOST=1423791566,1423791545][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh yeah, and now I'm running away before ya'll start throwing things at me....wheeee
I would say stick to cheap stone tools, and maybe instead of a ton of bread do like 3 steaks 5 bread (it is a starter kit after all) and the chest idea seems fine to me but maybe a single chest since trees are abundant and your already giving them tools to work with lol.
Nearly every survival server MyM has there are kits, except for the hardcore ones like Skyfactory, Agrarian and Crash Landing (I have no idea about D.I.E) But what we're asking for isn't as OP, as what the other kits are. Especially if you compare the kit we're requesting to B-team's kit. I mean, at the end of the day, we won't even get these kits, new players will, considering we've already joined the server. Enchanted stone tools sure, or there just isn't any reason to actually have tools in the kit at all. Spacer My additional suggestion, that in the kit we would get - x5 Bread x1 set of (Enchanted) stone tools x5 Pokeballs (cross-game reference) x1 Pokedex (just for the fun) x5 potions (cross-game reference)
I do get what you're saying. I don't object to the starter kits, but I'm of the opinion the starter kits would be just that - starter - and should not include any more materials necessary to provide more than a couple hours worth of help. Thankfully for all involved, it's not up to me, so you have no need to worry about my opinion. Admittedly the BTeam "starter" kits are extremely OP, and iirc Slind mentioned that he was going to make them that way for a while to make up for the reset. I don't think they were meant to be permanently the way they are. I'd have to go dig out the post to be sure, but that was the general idea I got. I expected them to be cut back some time ago, it's my guess he was either being very generous, or just forgot about how OP they truly are.[DOUBLEPOST=1423878499,1423878441][/DOUBLEPOST] I can work with tomatoes. As long as they're not rotten tomatoes. lol
