Implemented Error:Portal Blocked

I died in the nether, and now whenever I try to go threre through my portal I get the message "Error, portal blocked!"



I'm worried it might be my grave blocking it, but I don't want to have it removed because I don't want to lose all my items. Is there a way to check?

care to tell what the problem was in case someone else runs into this issue?

 

I died pretty much right next to my portal, so it registered as my grave blocking my portal even though once someone got there to remove it, the grave wasn't actually on the portal. Not quite sure why it glitched up, but as a precaution don't die near the portal.

 

Nether portals register as blocked if their is one of the blocks (random) next to the portal itself is ocupied

 

What Booker said, yeah. It's a strange error but it seems the only way to make sure it doesn't happen is to not die near it.
