Apology

Hello my name is CorPhome , you may know me from by servers or from comments on different threads. So recently i applied for mod on this server but i got denied for these reasons :
Poor attitude and age.
Now I dont get the age one since I'll be 13 in a couple months and there's a lot of mods my age and like a little older then me. But I'm not here to talk about that, I'm here to talk about the poor attitude one. Now I'm guessing they were talking about my little conflict with @AdrianVaughan on the five word thread, and i did apologies there but i wanna make it more public so if you're reading this Adrian im truly sorry. See recently i lost someone really close to me and for days and days I've kept it in until i got full . I got really depressed started fake smiling for everyone though. Naturally I'm nice with everyone but i just got so full with it i just took it all out. Now unfortunately i took it out online and for that I'm really sorry and if I've hurt anyone else unconsciously I'm really sorry. You may be asking if I'm depressed why do i even join here . And i have an answer for you . When i join this server i know i might meet with some of my friends like @Lexy2416 ,@Chimlo ,@McDomo69 etc.. Or there's gonna be someone i can help with so i get occupied and forget all the bad stuff. But anyways this got long so long story short. I am really sorry to everyone I've hurt accidentally i mean im a human and sometimes it all gets to much.

Well no matter if you got denied of being a mod, its not the end of the world.[DOUBLEPOST=1430499855][/DOUBLEPOST]You dont reach the minimal age to be moderator.

 

I wasn't complaining about being denied as a mod because when i applied for mod i wanted to do it for the best of the server and if they think I'm not good for the server then i will get better and apply later on, it was my apology to anyone I've accidentally hurt.

Another mod whos here is 13 and i would be 13 too but i was born in December but i am still born in 2002 just like him

 

Well if you apply the second time you probably get denied for the same reasons.

 

Officially the minimum age has always been 16, only on rare occasions will a younger candidate be considered and only if they have made a particularly good impression on existing staff and demonstrated maturity above their age, but even then I don't think a candidate under 13 has ever been accepted.

 

Just keep trying. Never give up, because you never know what will happen. You will find as you get older that persistence can be a very good thing.

As for your loss, I am very sorry. It never goes away, but it does get better. When you get depressed, think about the things you enjoyed with and about that person. They would want you to dwell on the good things and know that they loved you. At my age, I have lost many loved ones and I try to remember the fun we had and the things we did. You celebrate their life. I have an illness that will probably kill me. I do not dwell on it and fuss as my Mom and Gran when they do. I tell them, that I enjoy my life and love them and think on that. Celebrate my life and love of them. Death is not the end, but a new beginning.

 

Im telling you now. Its a true sign of maturity to make on of these posts, and realize you were in error. As for your loss I am very sorry.

 

Sorry to hear that you lost someone who's important for you. Just don't let your head down. Look ahead and keep going!

First, I'd like to say I'm sorry for your loss.

It truly is a display of courage to step in front of this entire community and share yourself so openly. At a younger age it's very hard to do that in a way where you can fluently express yourself. It's especially hard to show your apologetic sincerity. I give you commendations on that front. I would also like to take my time and thank you, for stepping up and taking a swing at bat for that staff position that also takes courage to do given your age.

Perhaps you will read this or perhaps not but I highly suggest you do, personally my time as an Administrator here at MYM showed me an idea of the types of people applying for a staff position. Now I believe that you show a dedication towards the server, however you're not a 100% aware of what applying to this position will do to you. As a younger member of the community, you have an idea of what's required but it's hard to grasp that at your age. In time you will learn that and I think if you stuck around for a while and wiggled yourself into a little bit of staffing experience then you'd make a great addition to the team.

Here are some things I recommend to successfully make the cut next time you apply.

1. Wait, don't re-apply for another few weeks or even months. This will show the level of patience you have and trust me, the ability to display such a level of patience goes a long way to the bosses up top.
2. Take time away from the game. To lose someone, recently and especially lose someone close to you is a major thing... When it happens you should find comfort and grieve that loss. Being a part of the staff team here would take away all your time to do either of those things and it would even create a funnel of your loss to the people of this community and that's a negative behavior to show in this job.
3. Play the game. At a young age you should be enjoying Minecraft and the beauty of the game, base and it's modded elements. Being a staff member is very time consuming. Doubled with school and homework you'd have virtually no time to play and enjoy yourself if you'd ever want to get the recommended weekly Moderation time.
4. Stick around and up your rep. Already you've got some eyes on you I can guarantee it. By posting this thread you show the bosses you've the maturity to own up for your actions. I suggest you show that what they're missing for the next couple of months and build up your reputation here to where people are positively screaming your name when you log on.
5. Keep your head up. Getting turned down is rough, but there is good that comes from it both in the real world and among the interwebs. Show everyone that it doesn't bother you and show that how great of an addition to the team you'd make by staying positive.

It's mostly a waiting game at this point but I hope these things help you out in your journey. I'd love to see you around in the community and if you ever need any help then I'm sure any one of us will be there to help you out, myself included. I wish you the best of luck and just want to say to keep going strong.
