Recently, there have been horrid lag spikes all throughout the server and a lot of people can feel it. Someone told me my player data might be bugged because they lag when they come near me, but i'm not totally sure. Pictures show how often and sharp they get. Screen Shot 2015-05-13 at 11.16.23 PM. The lagmeter on the f3 screen will only show you FPS lag = client side stuff. This probably means that either your PC cannot handle it or you simply built something that is too intense render-wise. What's the last thing you built in your base before this started?

lower your Ram allotement to 4gb.
Turn AA and anisotropic filtering in your control panel to "use application settings"
Also turn off Mipmap in your video settings.

I see your using Optifine, Try removing it, its not mod friendly, its mainly for vanilla.

you can't get lag because of playerdata, your base is just filled with blocks that are very bad for your system to handle, and you have optifine, get fastcraft instead

I have no such issues on my Mac. Would like to know what is in the base that's causing it. It's mostly around there that lags spikes occur

And im not sure whats the last thing i built when this started, but i noticed most of my lag is from something from my basement. Maybe chisel technical blocks?[DOUBLEPOST=1431626424][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ive got no clue how to set those on my system preferences, and google doesnt help much :I
I have removed most blocks in my base that had a moving texture, since disabling that with optifine reduced my lag a ton; im at 14-18 fps now with fastcraft...
Does knowing Shade of Leonard is in my base help anything?

Tesseracts are known to cause issues on a mac. If you use them try an alternative.

sir its not an assumption, i have worked with mac's. there comparability throws up many issues, there powerful little tools i will not argue, but only good for heavy processor tasks or creative work

The lack of capitals is slowly killing me, lol.

While it's true that a Mac is capable of some powerful things, the fact that it has a different operating system means it needs the mods and items to actually support that system. While most of Minecraft seems to do so, so far, Tesseracts seem to not.

no open blocks on regrowth >~< but those are essence lamps[DOUBLEPOST=1431710532][/DOUBLEPOST]Update: it does not affect mac book only; im on my brother's pc. 4 mods have already looked around and found nothing. I have optifine on because the spikes occur with and without it. And the memory allocation doesn't affect it.

Just how close are those nodes? Nodes occasionally will attack each other if they're too close, and you don't have the device that prevents the attacks. It's possible these attacks are what's causing you lag.

    Its not the nodes.

The nodes might not be a major part, but still, how close are they? Every bit helps.

Chisel blocks WILL cause fps lag on lower end systems if used in mass. if you have an entire area built out of them try changing it up a bit.
