MOEW!!!! Well, first off, I would like to give a big shout-out to the Mine Your Mind administration team, for doing an excellent job managing a huge amount of servers. Here's a little about me: I am a 22 year old gamer and IT technician. I am also a storm chaser and ham radio operator. My ham callsign is KD9DEZ. I only have 5 hours on the MYM Crash Landing server, but I enjoy playing on it immensely. I have 3 years of Linux server administration experience, and I have 2 years of experience running modded Minecraft servers. I have made my own modpack. I would like to offer my skills and free time to the MYM community. I know you guys are recruiting coding developers, but I don't fit that description. I would love to be considered for a server administration intern. If not, that's fine. All I ask is that I be considered when such a position opens up.
thats not how administration on this server goes but i will tell you you can try applying for Dev over in the "jobs" section, high chance, i'll ask my dad if he's met you over the antenna, he's a ham aswell,
You can't just apply to be an Admin straight away lol, if you want to be staff you can apply to be a Jr Moderator Here, then after ~2 weeks if you seem to know what you are doing you get promoted to Moderator, then further down the line if you think you can handle the extra responsibility you can apply for Senior Moderator (like me) Admin is a position that is only granted to the most trusted members of staff as it involves access to the server files and console etc which isn't something you give to just anyone!
ok That makes sense. I see what you guys are saying. Thank you for the input guys. I honestly feel a bit like a dick for asking to be an admin so soon.

just adding more tiers to the system! and the single other thing that was done was Co-Admin was renamed to Sr.Mod, also, if it's a Junior mod app, why is the app thing called a moderator app
Welcome, and you sound like you lead a pretty awesome life. I've considered going into IT or Web Development, but I worry my lackluster math skills will hold me back.

Welcome @ByrnsyTheCat, Im sure you will fit right in. As for the staff request, this server has a form of "Chain of Command" meaning you start at the bottom and work your way up. Being active on the forums is always a good stepping stone. Also from what you stated above, you seem more then qualified to apply for a Moderator position.(only issue is playtime)
