The FTB Horizons server is already started to make me want to punch my screen -abuse towards midgets here-

FTB Horizons uses a new worldgen mod called "Realistic World Gen" I personally love it; creates vast landscapes that look amazing, but it is extremely resource intensive...

The server has been up for around 6 hours?

Mine Your Mind Staff - Please remove this mod. You're also probably going to need a world restart aswell just to get rid of the chunks with this stuff loaded.

Yes; Players will be unhappy, but the players won't be here if the sever is too laggy to play on.

Please consider this; it is in your best interest.
    Sincerely - Dejyboo

you can't remove a mod thats installed with the pack they can disable it but this will change the horizons pack, yes this is a reason but if people keep abusing /rtp they will load the chunks with this mod causing major lag, just remove rtp so chunks can be loaded at a regular pase

Actually, the worlds on the server are pre-generated, so there shouldn't be any worldgen active any more.

Xfel11 - Having the chunks LOADED is causing issues[DOUBLEPOST=1434798543][/DOUBLEPOST]Epiic_Thundercat - Changing the look of the terrain won't change the pack that much... all ores are still there, dungeons will still generate. just no more massive mountains and valleys

As xfel has said the world is pregenerated meaning no chunks are created when people explore, secondly I'm not even sure if the realistic world gen was used as I have only seen vanilla biomes so far

Its not new biomes, it creates realistic flowing rivers and waterfalls, but as i said, something in the chunk maelstrom is loading is causing the timeout

The flowing rivers and stuff is from the streams mod, and wouldn't cause lag as it was made the way it is to prevent lag instead of using actual flowing water to create the streams

I can assure you it's being looked into but with daybreaker having quite a few unknown mods it may be a bit longer before it's found

This type of world gen was not used, And the world is Pre generated.

Also where did you get your info on the Realistic world gen mod? From experiance and testing uses less resources the Biomes O' Plenty when loading a world.
Can you please post a link to where i can find people mentioning a performance loss while using Relistic world gen[DOUBLEPOST=1434815292][/DOUBLEPOST]
This is from the Streams mod.... Not The world gen mod

We have discovered one of the major performance drainers in Horizon: Galacticraft Crude Oil Fountains.
They are spewing out an enormous amount of FallingBlockEntities (I've personally cleared over 45k in 1 instance )

Short-term solution has been added to combat the issue, and we are now working on fixing the issue competely.

yes this was an issue mentioned in the bug forums for the pack, some players weren't able to reconnect since there was over 20k entities in their chunks

Issue fixed, was the gravitational anomaly next to crude oil. I patched the tile entity so it no longer does it.

Server is still going down constantly. Happened at least 30 times yesterday, and seems to be continuing today. Any new info on what may be causing issues?

EDIT: I can understand that a new modpack is very unstable, but it's going down like every 10 mintues, and it's getting pretty ridiculous.
