It looks like it is not the Iron Backpacks mod which is causing the issues, I'm not sure why it worked after I disabled the backpacks mod the first time. It's weird.
The LatCoreMC mod throws an exception in the client log on server join and after removing this mod and the other too which need the core mod I can no longer reproduce the issue. I tried to patch the issue but without success.
Hopefully the issue is solved now.

If you lost your backpack please create a support thread and I will try to get them back. (Please include where you had them before the mod got removed.)
