Quick question about passive mobs i.e. Cows, Pigs, Chickens and Sheep. A few days ago I had started breeding up some cows to collect leather but did not get too far into the process, around 4 to 6 cows total. I log off for the night and the next day the cows and the chickens I had breed were gone. The area of where I was breeding was under my claim/base where no one but admin/mods could get to. The chances of someone /rt there is rare so I am not counting that either. This issue isn't just me it has occurred to someone else to whom I cannot remember their name, sorry. The question is this: Is there something that will remove non-naturally spawned mobs from the server? If so, what would be a good way to keep some instead of losing all of them? Oh and for the record I am using Animal Traps for leather and some other loot now but it was a bit of an annoyance to lose my cows.
Sometimes, on cloud nine anyway, neutral mobs I.E animals cause lag I'm not sure if its the same on V+ but if a mob causes too much lag they would usually be removed.
Is there a mod that is changing the functionality of passive mobs have them cause lag? I mean, from my knowledge passive mobs in vanilla don't really cause lag unless you have a ridiculous amount of them in one area. Like I said, I personally only had a few cows, would name tagging stop them from being removed so I can always have a base of two for example.
@Slind I posted in the other thread about the squid that i feel the number were reduced way to much. This pack is very light. We really only needed the squids limited. Any chance you can set the limts to like 100 or so.[DOUBLEPOST=1435868730][/DOUBLEPOST]The limits have been increased. You can have 30 animals in a 3 chunk x 3 chunk area. Same goes for Hostiles. But the cap of total amount of Hostiles+ animals cant exceed 50.
