Done Shiny Ingots Impossible to get

There is thermal foundation so shiny ingots are in the GAME, but they are impossible to get. The turrets mod on this pack has the 2 best turrets requiring shiny ingots, since it doesn't realize thermal expansion isn't in the pack therefor they are impossible to get. If they ore spawned we would be fine but there is no way to get them because I have tried the digiminer already.

Before you suggest some way to get them, try it yourself please, I don't want this post filled with inacurate suggestions, I'm 94% sure there is no legit way to get them as it stands.

 

Shiny ore is supposed to be disabled by default...
You get Shiny dust as a 10% chance second drop when you put Ferrous ore through a pulveriser... just mine loads of ferrious and pulverise it until you get enough shiny dust for what you need.

You can even use the Secondary Sieve, Stabilized Frame and GyroServo Feedback augments as upgrades to increase the second drop chance by 10%, 25% and 45% so with all three you would have a 55% chance per ferrous ore.

 

I haven't played much on Horizons since Hubris caught my eye, but chaosblad3 aren't those a part of Thermal Expansion and that isn't in Horizons?(only Thermal Foundation) So if I am right and it isn't in the pack, those suggestions don't make any sense.

 

Well as stated, the only way to legitimately get shiny is through thermal expansion, so if that isn't in the pack then yes it is unobtainable.

 

their not crafted, as he said, you can't get them in the pack currently, this is an issue i think would be perfect to address with the FTB team tbh

 

He means replace the shiny ingots with an ingot of equal value in the recipe for the turrets..

Another option would be to announce a farmworld reset in a couple of days time and then enable shiny ore in the newly generated farmworld by adding it to minecraft\config\cofh\world\ThermalFoundation-Ores.json

 

I don't care which way you go about it i just really like the laser and rail gun turrets So whatever you guys plan to do make sure to fill me in!

 

What's the *actual* name of the mod that supplies the turrets you want to craft? There might be an option to turn off Thermal-X crafting components.

Also, can you PLEASE set it so it doesnt spam people with chat messages and loud sounds when they get close or in my house? i try and let people tpa inside(where you cant get shot) and it spams them so much they cant read chat messages and it breaks both of our ears xD

 

Use platinum as they are both ingotPlatinum if not avalible do silver

 

Platinum and Shiny are supposed to be interchangeable. If platinum is in the pack and able to be mined/gotten in some fashion then this shouldn't be an issue.

 

The laser and rail turrets do not require shiney ingots, they require enderium ingots.

Which requires enderium blend.

Please check the recipes in the modpacks, as they are often changed by the mod-pack authors.

i think it is the only recipe that requires the shiny ingot, but i'm not sure
