I did actually read what you wrote. (Sorry I didn't listen as i could not find the sound file. ;) )

I asked questions because, like others who replied to you, we had questions about what you posted. This is because we did not receive from your post a complete understand. Maybe next time break it down barney style if you don't want any questions?

    I am going to:
    • Look into the code for the mods and any tweaks the pack authors have put in to see if their is something we can do server side to fix this within the theme of the pack.
    • Actually talk to the pack dev's to see what they had planned and see if we could do that on the server while still letting people who download the pack from FTB be able to connect to our server.
Hopefully this breaks down my post an my previous comments enough for you to drop the attitude and accept that we are not stupid and actually do understand things.

This might be as easy as ore dictionary tweaks or hard enough that we have to wait for a pack update. Only time will tell.[DOUBLEPOST=1436077141,1436070196][/DOUBLEPOST]After investigating and some chats with the FTB guys, I propose we enable shiny ore generation in the deep dark on the next reset, and/or in the farm world.

Myself and an Admin tested in game....
    • Shiney is ore dictionaried with platinum
    • No shiny or platinum ore generation in:
      • Overoworld
      • Nether
      • Deepdark
      • Farmworld
    • No alternate recipes for the items requiring these items.

    @BookerTheGeek
Took me a second to get the sound file joke, not gonna lie.
I'll be perfectly content if the ore's are enabled to spawn :)
and psh attitude is like 80% of my personality it will never drop :p

EDIT: ALSO PLEASE MAKE IT NOT SPAM PEOPLE IN CHAT AND SUPER LOUD NOISES, i can barely take people to my base even with them toggled to no shoot mode without them getting spammed with chat messages and loud noises

I would prefer a recipe change. Just because it isn't needed for anything else, doesn't require a world reset and does the ore even exist without thermal expansion?
What would be a good replacement?

Shiney is OreDict to Platinum... Sadly neither is enabled in the configs. Personal idea for shapeless crafting for one shiny:
    • x2 Invar
    • x1 Diamond
Ingot and gem unless there is a dust or crushed variant.

And shiney is used in some decorative chests, the biggest able to be made actually.

hmm, wouldn't it be better to remove the shiny ingot from the recipe, as it isn't needed for anything else. As far as I know there is nothing special about it, which is why I don't get that the intent is to get shiny ingots back in.

Your right. Mod tweak the recipe to require an Invar ingot?
