so much Flint.... (and Quicksilver)

Just a thought. We need some more recipes for Flint. I have SO much of it and nothing to make out of it.

Thoughts:

9 Flint : block of coal

1 Flint & 1 Empty Bottle : 4 glass panes OR 1 glass block

 

flint has always been useless, i hope one day a mod adds a shiny block to build with or a generator that runs on it (Extra utilities im looking at you)

as for 9 flint = coal block, thats a nice trade off. but i would make it charcoal, since regular coal is used to make items in Big Reactors and is a valuable resource in AS. A block of charcoal seems like a better trade
Another thing the server can do is buy the flint from us. maybe 1 MyM per flint. since gravel doesnt drop flint, the only way to obtain it is sieving.

 

do you really get that much flint? maybe 1 MyM= 32
i tend not to over collect resources, i only gather what i need to build...lol

 

On (Redacted), I teamed up with a few friends that set up an automated cobblestone generation, breaking, and sieving system. We got to about 16k flint within 24 hours of setting it up

 

how many sieves set up?

 

I'm not sure. They had three set up above ground, but also had 10-15 sectors 'underground' generating cobblestone for use. They might have set some of those up to sieve as well, because we were only up to 315k or so cobblestone in storage

EDIT: Each sector had either 6 or 12 crucibles for power generation, and enough of (Machine) to generate cobblestone to completely use the RF supply. Sorry, I can't think of the name at the moment

 

Maybe you can add a recipe for flint turn into dirt in the OakBarrels.

Flint into Barrel would be nice.
Otherwise how about 4 flint = 1 charcoal?
I think 9 flint = 1 coal/charcoal block seems a bit too much.

 

Quicksilber can be broken down into Permutatio and used for Infusion Crafting then.

 

flint is useful, just break it down for instrumentum

 

I would like more uses than just Thaum. At least give me a building block. It's Hard Core Skyblock, there should be a few uses for each item.

 

Hypothetically, would this extra recipes be possible to do with *just* a server plugin, or would a client plugin be needed for TMI to display the recipe?

And what do I base the plugin on? I know FTB doesn't usually use Bukkit, but I can't remember the name of the server wrapper you use D:
