When I wanted to join the ferret business today, it logged me in, connected, and then, after a minute or so, it kicks me out saying "Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: the external host has closed the connection." Any help here please? Greetings, Night3y3s
Please try again and tell us the exact time when it happened so we can try to match this in the server logs.
i get this all the time. i finally realized its my internet spiking and kicking me off the server same thing with the remote host has closed the connection.
i turned off all outgoing and incoming internet traffic, except for minecraft, and it still happens. and i have a stable internet connection[DOUBLEPOST=1441907692,1441882234][/DOUBLEPOST]update: it has changed to constantly timing out. My internet connection seems to be alright. Speedtest.net by Ookla - My Results Other then that, I don't know what to do anymore, and it's getting extremely annoying because I can't play.
Imagine the internet as a series of interconnected points. Code: H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O / / A-B-C-D~~~E-F-G. \ S-T-U-V-W-X if point E is having issues, yes, your (A) connection to local parts of the internet (B-D) will be alright. But because a random router (E) between you and the server you're trying to connect to (G) is having issues, you (A) cannot connect to us (G) through the bad route (B->E). Also, you will likely be able to connect to speed test sites (X) because they don't go through (E). Since (E) isn't associated with our network, there isn't a whole lot we can do about it - You'll just have to wait until that particular router gets kicked off the route, rebooted, or replaced. Also, if an unrelated denial of service attack is going across that router, its entirely possible that your IP got lumped in with it, and is being null-routed. Your traffic should get unlocked after a while, once the attack is over, if such a thing is actually happening. If you're on windows, you can do a tracert to the server, and try to see where packets are getting lost : Code: tracert ferret.mym.li also, you can use this to evaluate your packet-loss to the server : Code: ping -n 10 ferret.mym.li It doesn't take much packetloss at all to render your minecraft experience unplayable.
The time outs still exist, and I can't find any problem in the connection. Other games I play haven't shown problems today, only Minecraft.
