Done Issue with questbook

I've joined a new island with a friend and once I'd been invited, It's carried my progress over to the new quest book so a brand new island is 3/4 of the way through the book.

Is there a way to reset it or is that it

try having your friend remove you, and then re-invite you. sounds like you didn't get added to the protection
