How come we can't write "gonna"?
    it autocorrects it into "going"

Autocorrect plugin. Other words are corrected aswell. Don't know them exacly but yeah, that was implemented a little before I became a Jr.Mod on the DW20 server :p
Think as it as something good as it will end up helping you correct these mistakes such as the "gonna" into "going to" ;)

gonna can be either or. It picks the least one to allow proper grammar.

Personally I have to agree with busi, I think "gonna" is a perfectly reasonable contraction, keeping the in-game chat family friendly by censoring swearwords etc is one thing but I don't think it's necessary or fair to go full grammar police on it just for the sake of it.

Because gonna is only used in speech. Like saying "I am gonna get you"

When written its proper to write "I am going to get you"

Gonna - Definition for English-Language Learners from Merriam-Webster's Learner's Dictionary
    — used in writing to represent the sound of the phrase going to when it is spoken quickly
    • I'm gonna [=going to] get you if it's the last thing I do!
◊ The pronunciation represented by gonna is common in informal speech. The written form should be avoided except when trying to represent or record such speech.

*Is there anyway for players to disable the auto correct feature?

you know all these "absolutly necessary" plugins also uses server resources?
as people are complaining a lot about performance issues, this plugin is a good one to get rid of ;)
As I know the list of running plugins is nearly as long as the list of server mods on some server... there might be some more :p

plugins have marginal effects compared to the mods though... the performance issues is also mainly caused by players who don't know better.... i don't see how removing a plugin would effect the tps more than marginally...

chat is async, the plugin most likely, too. I'm quite sure this isn't the only feature we use from this plugin.
