being honest now, who thinks that in the years to come that ark will replace games like rust, and possibly even reaching minecraft levels of popularity, if not surpassing them, sure not everyone can run it, but their planning a console release as well. Seeing as you can do so much stuff in it by this point, and there are even a few modders getting ready for the updates to slow down so they dont have to update every day or so, who thinks this could be the future minecraft?

I don't think you understand what the "Potato" option really is.
    People want their potato option.

Naaa. Minecraft has always had it's own special appeal. I think Ark will be like Minecraft's RPG twin.

Considering ARK only has one attraction towards children, being Dinosaurs, I think the age gap between both games are completely different.
Minecraft appeals to all ages, whilst ARK appeals to "older"

I think once ARK is completely released next february, it will be a much more popular game than what it is now, I look forward to that, but I doubt it'll do as well as Minecraft has honestly.

If ark keeps going how it is I 100% believe it will pass all other popular survival games.

But minecraft is on its own level its nearing the most sold game of all time.

Wasn't there an announcement about a week ago that ark hit 2 million sales? It only being PC and requiring high end hardware is definitely a big limitation.

its not just PC, its mac and linux as well, i can run it fine on my 6gb macbook pro with 40tps, plus their working on further optimizing it. Also yes it could be like minecrafts RPG twin as demonica pointed out, and i also understand modding would be a "bit" harder than in minecraft due to the much better graphics
