Hello. I have 2 issues. 1- A cobbleweb spawned in my portal and it's protected area so i'm stuck in the nether. edit: i took someone elses portal and it brought me home. 2- After 3 minutes the nether crashes either minecraft (ran out of memory) or Java (application has stopped working) info: Java 7 (cause 8 gives problems) Quadcore 3.20GHz MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G 8GB ram 32-bit Windows 7 Sincerely,
Yes, i have 8GB installed but 3,45GB usable (need to reinstall windows to a 64-bit but that's such a hassle with all my files)
Sadly you options at the moment are to with play a less demanding pack or install the 64 bit version of windows.
As Booker said, most 1.7 packs require 2GB dedicated to Minecraft as the mods are exactly taxing and no one programs properly anymore.
You maybe can find out what it is causing it in the nether if you follow the performance steps here: Debugging Tools — MyM-Wiki 0.0.1 documentation Else you can play without nether which is possible
If you are using a high res texture pack, it would help disabling it. If not there is not much you can do. I'm quite certain that one can update a 32 bit win 7 to a 64 bit without the need of a complete wipe.
I'm using Faithfull because Soartex gives me white textures (not on vanilla). Not sure i thought the only way to upgrade to 64bit is to reinstall windows + all my software is 32bit based. I just have to wipe my whole computer sometime & start using 64bit again
Your problem is that your system is too weak and you're using too much RAM. A 32 bit system can only, normally, support 1.25 Gb and anymore will overload your weak system. I recommend moving up to a 64-bit and backing your files on an external drive.
