so i just traveled to the outerlands for thaumcraft and I fell out of the world. Tried it again to see if there was just a problem with the world loading but it appears that there is no world in the outerlands. Not sure if you can help me out but i have lost all my stuff from falling out of the world.

First I would like to ask from what dimension did you try to use the portal from?

Leaving this open as the maze did not generate from the overworld.

Are you sure this is the overworld? As dim 0 Or is it the new world as I know there was a world change at one point.

Seems that it is generating the Maze only if you go in through the overworld.

Use Dimension 0 as the new farmworld? It was meant to be reset months ago, iirc.

I started playing on Ferret shortly after the RWG was implemented and kept hearing about DIM 0 being reset. I investigated this and found out that there was no plan to reset DIM 0 because the outer lands can only be accessed via DIM 0.

To clarify; the issue for this post:
    • Eldritch Obelisks will generate in the farmworld, overworld, RWGworld.
    • Outerlands portal can be opened with any obelisks
    • Outerlands dimension can only be reached via a portal in DIM 0 (overworld)
Again; the messed up overworld has not been reset for that specific reason.

@Administrator ; this is still marked as testing required? Any ideas for how to solve it?

So if the original overworld is reset as the farmworld is, won't the obelisks work as they are in Dim 0?

Probably not. The reason the portals only work from the overworld is due to the way the outerlands are generated.

Overworld portal corresponds to a pre-generated outerlands dungeon.

The only way I could think about having it work properly would to have the farmworld reset; set it as DIM 0 and generate a new outerlands dimension that properly corresponds with the new DIM 0.[DOUBLEPOST=1449104308,1449104114][/DOUBLEPOST]note: The thing I said about portals corresponding to the dungeon is why you CAN'T just go into a creative world, place down an obelisk and end up in an outerlands dungeon.

If you really start to explore the outerlands, you can actually fly from dungeon to dungeon using a jetpack which ignores the disabled flight in the outerlands. You still need away to get past the bedrock but this can be done quite a few ways. As long as you know the overworld coords for the obelisk, you can find the outerlands dungeon.

I'm by no means a thaumcraft expert (I hate that mod) but AFAIK the portals should work just fine from the farmworld, as I tested it with a player on IE1 just the other day, opened a portal from an obelisk in the farmworld and it connected to a valid maze in the outerlands..

Not sure exactly how different the dimension setup is on Ferret..
