Done Living in a Town

Hello guys,

Some of you know that a group of players joined near spawn and created an unofficial town. It's simply just a group of players who claim their land next to each other. No mayor evolved and no claim subdivision whatsoever.

However, some players haven't logged in for more than a week and I think that automatic land regen will wreck the landscape for neighbors. It happened already with the first guy (after me) that joined "Lag Town" (yeah, its the name of the town ). Can mods and/or admins declaim these houses, so we can, at least use the remnants of their homes and level the places?

We are near spawn by the way, at (0, -200).

Hey DarthCaetano, unfortunately, we can't just unclaim the houses without regening the land. It's not meant for other players to use the leftovers of players items and homes. Is there a way you can contact the players outside of the game or know anyone that can? That would be the best possible solution in this case

 

Don't have his contact, just his player nickname (I personally don't visit my minecraft profile). So, you are telling me that to avoid this I need to be the owner of the land as a mayor?

Also, most of resources and kick start is given by the town. We don't care about the resources, we just care about having a mountain spawn overnight right in the middle of Lag Town. Isn't there a reasonable exception in this case?

Well the whole point of the automatic regen system is to give players plenty of time to get back to their claim to avoid a regen situtation and also to keep staff from having to get on several defferent servers multiple times a day to regen bases. From what you're telling me, the player has not been gone long enough for the automatic regen to take effect and in that case, we aren't going to regen or unclaim land in that short amount of time anyway. I completely understand the frustration but we do have to consider every player in this situation. If he came back tomorrow and his land was unclaimed, don't you think he'd be a bit upset?

 

Yes, I understand. So, I should definitely be a mayor then. Argh!

This spot between buildings (nether floor), is from a guy afm (away rom minecraft) for osme time now.

Either way, I have been thinking. even if it gets regened, I'll just clear the area easily. I don't want to bother you with particular requests because I understand now that you have a large community to run

Yeah at least that is a fairly small area to clear if it does get regened. If you'll shoot me a message, I'll come help you clear it if you need.
