I know that traditionally, larger servers have had the world anchor disabled because of a number of reasons, chiefly: 1. It allows players to progress a LOT faster through content and therefore lets them become bored faster 2. It allows players who are NOT currently logged in to bog down the server and affect those are ARE currently online. As a deterrent you charge 3x the tickets which, if you vote daily is still well enough to keep a relatively large set of chunks permanently loaded. I could wax philosophic all day about these blocks, but at the end of the day if for nothing else, they fly in the face of the thinking behind the rule that doesnt allow players to market endgame items to other players, because it allows them to skip content too quickly. Furthermore these servers are quite powerful, and it seems odd that we would be at 5 TPS with only 5-6 people on as was the case this morning... I would respectfully request that you consider disabling this feature or at the very least making it more of a deterrent to leave it on 24/7... perhaps 10x cost. Players should be PLAYING, not sleeping IRL while their uber-mega-cobble gen laggs the rest of us all to oblivion.
Moved to suggestions. I'm personally very conflicted about offline chunk loading, it has its pros and its cons.
I don't know where to go to get to where it has been moved to, but these chunk loaders destroy the game because with few people on we have 5 tps when ive seen over 60 people on a server and still have 18 tps. The drain on these blocks is ridiculous.
Would love to see evidence of this as they removed all loaders on infinity for 24 hrs and other packs and you know what NO NOTICIBLE DIFFERENCE.
