Done I need a quest reset and the items back from it

Can I get the finishing the basics of bees and have the items I submitted back

 

are you not able to progress in the pack because of this ?

Because of the nature of this pack. Bee happy is known for having many dead ends at the start and sadly you only have 2 options buying the items from someone else or restarting your island

Yup, if you restart the island, you'll get the starter chest again - using it should reset your questbook.
