even tho drawers are protected by GP items can be retrieved from them, they need to be protected by mym-protectex protectex also protected barrels, so it should work on drawers aswell ID's from that mod: 2567, compacting drawer 2584, controller slave 2589:X (multiple metas), compact oak drawers 2590, drawer controller 2594:X, compact jungle drawers 1x2 2600:X, Oak Drawers 2604:X, Oak Trim 2607:X, Oak Drawer 2609:X, Oak Drawers
infinity, pretty much all of the 6 servers well all of them have "not protected in claims" except for 2584 controller slave and 2590 drawer controller
Unfortunately due to bad coding on the mod devs part it is impossible to protect them using any kind of plugin currently. The issue is that the storage drawers don't fire any interruptible event when a player removes an item from them, so protecting them from interaction by untrusted players is impossible, the only way to keep them safe is to physically locate them inside of a sealed chamber, as GP can stop untrusted people from opening the doors to that "safe storage room" so they can't interact with them at all because they can't even get close to them in the first place! As far as the Drawer Controller and Controller Slave go, they don't really need the tooltip as you can't actually take items out of them as a player.
Unfortunately the only real way to use the drawers is as pure storage, either hooked into an AE system or a logistics pipes system. Place glass in front of the drawers, and use the terminal to access what is inside them. That way you can still look at how nice they are, but no one who isn't trusted can break the glass and get to your items.
Nope, trapdoors are protected by claims, if you are not trusted then you can't open or close a trapdoor.
You can just put them behind closed doors, that is what I do. a) Vanilla doors work fine, can't be opened. b) Carpenters Doors can be opened and walked through, so they are unsafe c) Other doors, like for example a Cypress door in Regrowth (Vanilla Recipe) can be opened, but the player cannot walk through. He can still access drawers if they are in reach behind the door. So a) should be safe and c) in most cases. Unless someone knows a way to get around the protection of both these door types. Not sure whether there are other sneaky ways to teleport you through a open cypress door. Please let me know.
staff of traveling can get you behind walls or doors except bedrock the best bet is trapdoors or maybe carpenters trapdoors and disguise it as a glass so you can see through (in case they cant be opened by untrusted players)
1 problem with trapdoors, doors, etc, it might stay closed server side , but client side, if a player that isnt trusted tries to open it ,most of the time it shows open, they still cant go through it, but can interract with whats behind it that way, so using trap doors wouldnt be a good idea either
I would assume that carpenters trapdoors can be opened the same way as carpenters doors can be opened, have to test that. Seems like the vanilla trapdoor solution and the one with the glass wall that kaze suggested are the only solutions, since there are also ways to teleport through protected walls. I am quite sure that vanilla doors do not appear open. I do mean actual vanilla recipe with vanilla wood. Other doors like a cypress door (same recipe) seem to behave different there.
I tend to Build a cube of them, then just place Covers all round it. There is a way to make the Item not show also. Using an Ender IO interface to access them
