dont know why but agrarien 1 crashes very often in the last days. At the moment its not possible to reach it... its verry diserpointing :C wahts...

but ur right its still possible to craft tier 2 obsidian parts with the smelter but its still not possible to craft Tier 2 tools with them like u...
thats not quite right... like u can see on this screenshot, its possible to create a normal axe head like that... and its also possible with all...
here are 2... i hope u see my problem...oh and heres the screenshot of the altar... nothing happens... it should work with lether, a tier 1 altar...
I cant create any of the tier 2 tools on the Tool forge like the hammer or the lumber axe... i tryd it with iron, obsidian and bones... nothink...
