This appears to be some incompatibility with your graphics card. Please try to remove the custommainmenu mod and see if it is still happening.

The output conveyor transports smelted ores over to the storage.
View inside through a maintenance hatch. The chest buffers the input from the conveyors, the mechanical pipes transport the items to the actual machine block, and later back to the output conveyor.

The smelter is meant to resemble a large industrial furnace. It is almost as long as the whole building. Notice the glow on the inside - it's hot after all.
This "Motor" rotates the structure. Since rotating things are actually impossible in minecraft, its just decoration. In the background, you see the workshop shed.

This is designed as a giant ball mill or something similar. Since the whole thing is supposed to be rotating, the fence prevents people from getting too close.
