Hey there MYM Community, I hosted a 1.9 Testserver for player to play and test the new 1.9 Version and its Mods. Its hosted extern on my servers so there a no plugins and other stuff. If you want to play on it and test some mods download this modpack I created from curse: Knoxz MineYourMind Testpack - Tech - Minecraft Modpacks - Curse Version: 2.0 Server IP: 104.219.251.12 Feel free to join and play with us. Greets server will be down until further notice as I am working on another project.
@up Send a private message to knoxz instead! After a short session on this modpack, these are my thoughts (messy and in no particular order): Spoiler: Open if you don't care about being spoiled with new stuff - It feels different while playing this modpack. Maybe because there are a lot of new mods, and maybe because I've played MC 1.9 for maybe like an hour... - EvilCraft! Pitch black nights - make a lot of torches ASAP! Dirt blocks trying to kill you - be careful when trying to spend the night in a hole! - Caves are pitch black too, and mobs pretty much spawn in front of you, including witches which can throw wither potions at you. It's too dark I'm such a pussy - No NEI but there's JEI (Just Enough Items). Works very similarly to NEI, except it can considerably drop your framerate. Otherwise, the modpack runs OK, I have a little bit less FPS than usual on eg. Ferret Business, but there are definitely less lag spikes. - Be careful around nature chests and cores (those 3x3 cubes made out of jungle wood and leaves). If you mess around them, prepare to get scared by a demon pig screaming like a ghast. - Why do rabbits wear top hats with monocles? - Finally someone thought that animals can also drop bones! - Animals drop a lot of food now. Citing: "A single cow should be able to keep you going for days and now it does." - Didn't enjoy blood moon nights? Well, they're here, and they're of course deep dark. - Tinkers' Constuct stone pickaxe got only 16 durability. Is that a nerf? Or did I miss something? Either way, stick with vanilla stone tools when starting the game. - If you manage to find some darkstone, use it for your tools. They got a little bit more durability than stone. - Gather a little bit more wood than you would usually do, as it seems like you don't always get 4 wood planks out of a single log - sometimes it's 2/3. - No golden bags of holding! Walk 500m until you fill your inventory with goodies and be prepared to head back home - There's Veinminer, so mining is easier. It's disabled by default though, so enable with /veinminer mode - I wish there were plugins! So much time spent walking... Feels like vanilla singleplayer There are teleportation wands however, which can be found in chests around the world (or made with pearls, blaze rods etc; also you can get a lot of fall damage with that wand, be careful!). Maybe you could give them to every player and make them not take your experience? @knoxz
I'd play, but i currently cannot as i have school and will have other stuff to do over the summer, sucks, but that's life for you
The only irritation so far I've had is the plummet in frame rates, and I have yet to figure out the exact cause. It is a very challenging mod pack to start off, I'll update as I get further into testing.
describe when? are your graphics card drivers up to date? are you allowing multithreading? are you using your GPU (is it integrated) because 1.9 fixed alot of framerate issues from what i've seen
first updated: Added oredict mods. Helping with all the different ores there are. Find information on the mod pages.
Since I was one of the first to wander the world it may have been a rendering issue, I haven't noticed any drop since the first night.[DOUBLEPOST=1464189821,1464189274][/DOUBLEPOST] Could you push the updated version out to curse?
only updated the server as soon as it was approved on curse.[DOUBLEPOST=1464190870,1464190294][/DOUBLEPOST]you are missing the auto ore dictionary converter and the dependency. you are sure you can not update?
