their 2 gig internet is 2.14x as expensive per month per gig as google fiber though, has a $500 instillation fee, a longer commitment, and no guaranteed speeds.[DOUBLEPOST=1438484481][/DOUBLEPOST]1.15 if you include tv in fiber, and assume that the xfinity plan comes with it[DOUBLEPOST=1438484563][/DOUBLEPOST]in some cities fiber is even less

Currently I'm putting up with 21mb/s as fibre rollout to my street has been delayed until next year but a friend of mine just moved to a rural area without checking into the internet speeds before putting a deposit down on the house and now he finds out that he can only get 1.8mb/s at best.. he was crazy mad when he realized!

I recently moved into an old house on a mountainside (very natural, huge lawn), it has power supply and everything but only a satellite for TV and an overhead line connection for telephone - however, right now it's too weak for an internet connection, as of september the only ISP that offers Internet connection over telephone line will renew the location with new technology, after that I'll have a max. 20 Mb/s downstream. I had in mind to use a satellite for the internet, down- and upload rate would be amazing but then I realized it would be horrible for gaming, cause of extreme high latency. Right now I'm using my handy (USB-tethering), paying ~2 dollars a day and I get approx. 7Mb/s with 3G, at least enough for online games I play. Can't wait for september though.
