After a series of crashes I noticed that my enitre power grid on my space station and in the overworld wasn't working properly anymore because it seems that Aluminum wires and sealed aluminum wires have been "disabled" or something like that. Half of them have just been removed from the game, creating holes in my power grid, the other half don't seem to work at all. I've tested it and can confirm: Aluminum wires don't work anymore. Neither do the sealed versions of it, rendering most space stations unhabitable. They visually still connect to normal energy conduits, though they won't transmit anything.
I have found no official patch note about disabling aluminum wires. I also wasn't sure if I should create a ticket about this issue or not, as it affects more people than just me.

Several others have found this aswell, but for one or two people they still work. Is it possibly due to switching between the norm energy conduits and the wires? Also for those it doesnt work for it eats all the energy being sent through it, it doesnt just block it.

Neither work. I just tried building a generator with only aluminum wires and it won't work. But this isn't the first time staff changed something without officially telling anyone. The promised land has recently been disabled, too. The items can now be bought via the market. But this change will seriously render all space stations running on oxygen sealers non-funktional.

I double checked with our admin team the other day and confirmed the wires are not disabled. I can do some testing this weekend as well.

Did you try breaking and replacing all the wires?

yep, also tried breaking them, leaving the chunk and replacing them when i returned. Just incase there were ghost blocks.

The entire set up, including say, the power source? And it’s all in one chunk?

Was in two chunks and the “power source” would be identified as a tesseract, and i broke it, the prechargers, lasers, all the wiring, even the items ducts incase they were effecting it somehow. Im using all energy conduits now and it works fine
[doublepost=1514555046][/doublepost]Any other suggestions while im here looking at it?

Hm not atm, per google, many others seem to be having the same issue over the span of a couple years and players just work around using MFR and TE

    Exactly lol ^^

Fortunately, attack of the b team is popular so it’s most likely if you have an issue, google has an answer from thousands of others who have had the same problem as well.

I tried looking for an answer and found none. And "working around Aluminum wires" isn't as easy as it sounds when your headquarters are on an oxygen sealed space station and you need the sealed aluminum wires. I tried many different things, including all your previously mentioned tips and nothing works. The wires suddenly stopped working one day after a series of crashes. (Performance didn't change after they broke)

    Hey Wyvern__,

We were just informed that the wires were disabled. When they get re-enabled, an update will be posted here.
