Base Ideas- Post Your Dream Base Here.

Im currently wanting to build a mountain base. Maybe mage towers, castle of a futuristic one like the one below.
Normally i have a base all planed out, but currently on DW20 im building as i go...lol

There was i mod i tried a long time ago(Before forge was a thing) that put biomes in the sky. they were in spheres.
I think i want to make an area like this.

my bases are usually underground, random, or are a bunch of cobblestone shacks, save on any raid server, then it's either obsidion, or i'm confident no one can blow it up because it's far away from land or water

 

my bases I ussually put in 3x as much time as needed cause im a slow builder

 

Ever since I started in AS, I've come to the realization that I want to pile as much stuff into as small of a space as possible. Since chunks are loaded vertically, that results in all of my setups being high rise towers, so I need only a few chunkloaders to do it.

What I really need to do is figure out exactly what needs chunkloading, and have a central tower with all the stuff that needs chunkloading and then pods that aren't loaded for the situational stuff I can sit around and watch work.

I'm really concerned with function over looks honestly. I can always polish it up later, but I never do.

I'm still thinking about what the ideal height for a room is. Which changes just a bit depending on whether or not there are conduits or cables to run that I want to be visible. Microblocks help a lot in filling in things, as well as conduit facades, right.

I almost think that it would be a good idea to build 3 high, double jacketed rooms, somewhat like actual construction is done, so you have cable runs.

If i ever get to that pack i might just have to, would likely take me a while longer while i work on properly making the place monster proof.

players count as monsters in that situation, i would also have to keep quiet while i did my thing over letting people visit (its not always easy to find someone who over builds )
