Botania passive flowers turn into a dead bush after x amount of ticks. Currently the setting is at 1 hour the default which from the perspective of in-game time is VERY quick. By the time I had my farm setup it was practically already dying. The current timer is impractical for any meaningful passive generation.

I would recommend setting this value to -1 meaning passive flowers will live forever. Or at least changing it to a more realistic window like 24 hours.

Note the time provided is in ticks so 60 minutes * 60 for seconds = 3600 * 20 for ticks = 72000 in the below config.

Vazkii decided she didn't want people to rely on passive flowers indefinitely, they were meant to get you started and produce enough mana to get you access to mana powder and thus active generating flowers.

This should sum up the situation

If you absolutely have to use passive generating flowers, try planting them on Enchanted Soil (created via overgrowth seed, a drop of Gaia Guardian II)
