So the island was created by Matryoshika. And I am trusted there. However, I cannot kill any passive mobs, pick them up in nets, or breed them. He has tried making sure I am trusted in every way that it allows, and I still can't kill the passive animals. We did find something that lets me strike them down with lightning... But that's about it. Any way to fix this so I can slice and dice those cows into tasty steaks?
The claiming system received a major update to which we don't feel comfortable updating to just yet. Meaning we want to wait a little longer and let small servers figure out the major bugs before we update. I don't know if this is resolved in the new version, we will have to test it then. For now you can probably work around it with the GP flag system.
