Done Can't get witchery gold ritual chalk

Nei and the official website both agree that you throw into a boiling witch's cauldron mandrake root + gold nugget + white ritual chalk = gold chalk.

But I've tried 8 times, and 3 in single player, and the cauldron changes color, but then just sits there boiling. Other recipes seem to work, but this one won't. Am I missing something?

 

you need an altar with 7000 or so altar power

 

Thank you. But I only needed to break 3000 power and it suddenly popped out of the cauldron.

 

Eh, you still need alot of altar power, same diff
