I was wondering what would be the chances of some servers being hosted somewhere rather than Germany(ex. Node 1 de, Node 2 us.)
We have considered this and might work towards it, but not any time soon. This requires us to either split it up or adjust the system to be able to deal with seconds of delay instead of partial milli seconds and times where they can't reach each other at all. Another small thing is that we have not yet found a data center in central us offering similar performing hardware with quality matching conditions to a price less than 3 times of what we have here. Meaning it would be a step back from the server and connection performance and in many cases regarding the data center staff including respond time and adjustments, too. Overall the connection from the data center in the EU to the east coast is as good (if not better) than between west and east coast. On top considering that we don't have fps games the small delay never caused any major issues. Ofc the possibility of connection failure and bad performance periods... is higher but that's about it. I have played minecraft on servers in Canada, west and east coast before and it didn't feel bad in any way, even pvp was quite ok.
Give me a general price and desired specs. i can see what i can do about finding a US Server. i have some connections maybe one of them can help.
