Well the first problem is he is no longer sirwilli, just sirwill, second of all, after poking around the threads a bit ive noticed some complaints that the tank can be emptied if too many people are using it, as its being fed lava by 12 infinite tanks from spawn, why not just give players the infinite tank to start with under the same recipe? i get they could set it to something like molten iron (i think) but maybye if there was a way to keep them from changing it?

ok then, it may be possible using a plugin, ill look into it, but it really isnt THAT much of an issue, i like to use steam dynamos, i do use lava for some things however which is why i asked

I believe people abuse the tank. We have talked about an option that'd have a very limited flow rate of infinite lava to get players to stop abusing it to power their bases. It should be used for things that 100% require lava, not to power your base the entire game.

that would happen either way, it was made to stop the player pumping the nether to do the exact same thing

Pump the nether dry and because of chunk load tickets. Limited flow lava solution puts a stop to all 3 =)

Why not have different color combos?
Like for every 20 or so players add a new color combination.
All of them would be open to everyone, but you would have different options to choose from.
My fix for this was to make ONE sirwilli tank and feed it into a personal ender combo (red red red) and then use that around my base. it's cheaper and easier to keep flowing. also making a bedrockium drum as a "Backlog" in case the infinite lava goes offline for any reason helps a lot.

ive done the same as sporefreak in the past, but i dont like taking the lava only to pump it into my own private network, feels wrong :/

What's the difference from pumping into your own lava Generators? They are Technically your network too.

The only thing i use the sirwilli's for is like powering my enderquarry early-game, when i don't have tesseracts and a good power supply. i use an 8x lava gen and a sirwilli to power the quarry. my base itself is powered by a reactor me and m1col built. soooo i'm not one to abuse it, i just use it as necessary. i might make another one just for infinite lava for my smeltery. get's annoying to refill it every here and there.

One thing many don't think about. Minecraft calculates the light level for every block whenever a block that emits light is being changed. The server needs to do this, for the mob spawning mechanism. This is the main strain when using pumps, a lava block being pumped causes the entire area to recalculate the light levels. Other liquids that don't emit light, are less of an issue.

lava is useless for power i was using it to power my base for 3 days and then i made a reactor. so if people want to use lave they will need a lto of resourses to get a good amount of power out off it i use it to get obsiden though

the reason people don't use bigreactors is because yellorium isn't infinite.... the 256x generators though produce INSANE power

i have always powered my bases with big reactors.. when you have a good mining setup the yellorium is as good as infinite.
and with farmworld resets it is in actual fact infinite.

all you need to do is to build a good reactor. and a big battery of sorts to buffer for those high drain projects:)

Im not against disabling lava engines, generators and dynamo. Or restricting the amount of them a player can place.
Some of the ways to turn lava to power are op.

To be fair, the Sirwill tank is not needed, in most packs there are a lot of ways to make lava.

Another option would to disable the SirWill tank and add a command/sign at spawn to trade an empty drum for a Full drum of lava.
Then restrict it to once a week or something.

i believe the sirwill(i) tank should be kept the way it is because all the suggested ways to get lava are really annoying or tedious, plus the sirwill(i) tank requires a good deal of materials to make, so why disable it? if your really against it, just make it a bit more expensive. like instead of blaze rods make them blizz rods, which blizz's are harder to find because they don't spawn too often, can only be found in certain biomes, and don't have a very high rod drop rate. so maybe, in order from top left to bottom right, craft it like this: Blizz rod, eye of ender, blizz rod,, diamond, ender-thermic pump, diamond, blizz rod, lava bucket, blizz rod. just a suggestion.
