I was about to donate blood to a player and expected death in process. To prevent any risk of losing items on death, I put all my gear into a chest at my base; I'm the only player with access and I don't share the claim with anybody else. Afterwards, I was busy with other issues at my base and didn't need any of the tools and I forgot about not having them on me. Some two hours after I had deposited the gear into my chest, I wanted to break a block and realised that I hadn't taken the tools from the chest. I went back to the chest but the gear wasn't there. I thought that my memory had failed me, and I've searched through all the chests I possess. Eventually, I asked an admin (DizzyRanson) to take a look at the log. He said he could see the gear coming in the chest but not going out, and he suggested filing the bug report. Time: Friday, 4 April, around 7AM, California time Server: node3 Location: x:-1811, z: 1537, y:65 Items lost: alumite hammer with upgrades; alumite excavator with upgrades alumite axe with upgrqades, flux-infused sword with enchantments diamond pickaxe with enchantments diamond shovel with enchantments a few less important items that I can't recall.
Couldn't find anything except the player TheVisionsx who isn't trusted, taking and putting back same items over and over. he was the only one on the claim in past 2 days. I will keep trying.
I'm actually not reporting griefing but a bug. I know the player TheVisionsx, he helped me make the hammer that vanished, besides it's technically impossible to take anything from protected area; also, nothing else is missing, except for the items I've mentioned, on the particular occasion. If I can add something to what's been already said, is that the following day after the incident, I was placing down some smart cable very close to that chest and 2-3 times the cable vanished after having been placed on the ground - not tossed but placed so it was legitimately fixed.
Was the server rollbacked that day? That would be the only explanation since there is log for him putting griefed items in there but no removing of the said items.
